OVERVIEW:



The Engineering Supervisor shall be responsible for managing team of Engineering Leads, Engineers, Material Coordinators, Technicians and Engineering Designers in support of all surface facility processes and equipment. The Engineering Supervisor will set and maintain a high standard for engineering and document control by ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, Oxy Health, Environment, Process Risk and Safety (HES) guidelines, and Industry standards and recommended practices. Disciplines supervised include Process, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrument and Project Engineering, as well as Material Coordinators and Designers/Drafters





ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:



-Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.

-Minimum of 15 years experience in upstream oil & gas assets (preferably in thermally enhanced heavy oil fields).

-Minimum of 3 years engineering supervisory experience.

-Experience in surface facility including mechanical, electrical, and process.

-Experience in engineering solutions/problems related to thermally enhanced heavy fields.

-Demonstrated capability in coaching, training, mentoring, and employee development.

-Ability to manage large scale, full field, and complex asset through a fast paced development schedule is a preference.

-Licensed engineer in core discipline, i.e. P.E. or P. Eng is a preference.

-Supporting facilities regulated by Process Safety Management (PSM) and/or Process Risk Management.

-Good in communication and interpersonal skills is a must.



RESPONSIBLITIES:



-Build a highly skilled and action oriented team, mentor, develop direct reports and focus on the development of future Team Leads and Lead Engineers.

-Provide group management functions including hiring, performance assessment, and salary planning administration

-Accountable for small project management, including scope definition, cost estimation, scheduling, and cost accounting

-Ensures team provides engineering support to Muscat Facilities Project Teams for field development projects

-Develop strategic plans to all nationalization targets for all engineering and technical functions.

-The Engineering Supervisor will ensure that Engineering Leads and Engineers provide the following services to customers:

Process and equipment surveillance, process system analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis, reporting, and operations advice.
