NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

OVERVIEW:
Discover new opportunities within Commodity Trading/Steel Trading and Manufacturing / Construction.
Ideally have previous experience/contacts in Libya.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience handling, developing and running new businesses, preferably including Trading / Manufacturing / Construction.
-Degree in Economics, Strategy, Management, or Technology related fields.
-Proven experience in providing managing people.
-Must be able to speak fluent English.
DESIRABLE:
-Previous work experience within the Middle East is desirable.
-Arabic an advantage.
ROLE:
Service current business partners and cater to oil companies in the region. You must seek to identify ways to improve their business by;
-Looking at their current end to end activities
-Identify gaps or outdated process's whilst offering workable solutions
-Present savings and streamlined efficiencies to business partner stakeholders
-Modernize business practices within the limitations and constraints of the region
New Business
-Discover new opportunities within Commodity Trading/Steel Trading and Manufacturing / Construction where our company interests are active.
-Research externally the challenges and possibilities of business ideas within Libya whilst liaising internally with the group's experts (within each field ) to ascertain the possibilities for lucrative and workable business opportunities
-Identify the 'pros and cons' of each business venture to present to Directors / Shareholders
-Identify the requirements for the changes within the Libyan Market and seek to make improvements within the current market segment.
-In collaboration with local partners you will be required to observe and introduce the company in local markets and various ministries, local and international business heads and others to find and acquire suitable products to import into the country.
-Liaise with Ministry and Government officials to identify their needs in industry and construction.
-Must explore new opportunities and make new contacts
-Identify in what way resources will be required to produce the business acquisition
-Create strategy plans as well as implementing them for new product and services.
-Launch an enterprise so has to arrange and secure the funds for the venture from Group Officials / Directors.
-General accounting and budgeting knowledge to be able to monitor expenses and predictive figures for each quarter / year.
-Operate and Manage the entire related business and administration on day to day basis.
-Recruit and Identify staff and positions / roles required for 'new business' acquisitions.
