Branding and Communications Lead - Abu Dhabi, UAE


Summary of Job Purpose:
CH2M HILL is the Programme Manager for the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC) in the implementation of the Strategic Tunnel Enhancement Programme (STEP). STEP is one part of ADSSC’s overall capital investment program. The primary components of STEP include:
Approximately 40-km deep tunnel sewer and appurtenances
Over 50km of link sewers connecting the existing sewerage system to the new deep tunnel sewer
One new tunnel sewer pumping station
CH2M HILL is looking for an experienced Communications and Branding Lead to join our STEP team. The primary role of this individual will be to implement and manage the Programme’s branding and communications initiatives.
The Communications and Branding Lead will report to the Commercial Manager.
Specialized Skills:
Ideally, the candidate should have:
Knowledge of branding and communications in support of a large program.
Knowledge of the terminology used on large heavy civils programs.
Key Duties:
Assist team members with developing various Programme-related written materials and information such as information packets, press releases, newspaper articles, brochures, flyers, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
Arrange and coordinate external professional photography and/or videography of key program events.
Maintain Programme stakeholder mailing lists and databases.
Oversee development and upkeep of a Programme web site, including preparing content that is posted on the website.
Oversee preparation of Programme visualisation videos.
Oversee Programme social media site(s).
Maintain a list of relevant local and international conferences and coordinate and record contributions from the program team members to conferences (papers, presentations, attendance, etc).
Coordinate and facilitate Programme meetings and special events.
Maintain a record of all programme publicity – newspaper articles, magazine articles, technical papers, web-based articles, web or television videos.
Undertake other tasks as assigned by the Programme Management Leadership Team.
Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Preferably a BA degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related discipline. Preferably 5 years prior work experience in a similar role. The individual must have strong communications and people skills, excellent organizational skills, be self-motivated/self-directed and have the willingness to take on new challenges.
Other basic requirements include:
Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
Computer literacy in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in the development and maintenance of web sites
Education:
BA degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related discipline.
Job Experience:
Minimum 10 yrs overall post-graduate experience, with strong emphasis communications, public relations and branding. Middle East experience essential.
