About this job
To be a part of the Team working to handle the Growth in scope of Pressure Pumping in Iraq.
Key responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Efficiently and safely supervising the daily operations of the facility quality control of laboratory in accordance with established plant policies, safety procedures and analytical methodology.
- Supervise all the chemical treatment activities in the lab for Pressure Pumping Operations for client.
- Assuring that standard testing procedures are being followed in different product lines e.g. Fracturing Fluids, Underbalanced Drilling, and Chemicals etc.
- Maintain and calibrate Lab equipment in a good manner for accurate safe use.
- Advice technical engineers for improving slurry properties and optimize lab tests
- Participate in tenders with offering the most cost effective slurries.
- Prepare the new technology slurries and offer it to the technical and operational team.
- Be a team player and effectively participate in the team activity
- Perform stimulation tests and monitor the chemicals efficiency
- Verify job plane with customer representative and manage required changes.
- Monitor and perform necessary calculations to assure quality of data / job.
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly reports to internal project teams and client.
- Perform Quality control of well test data and provides clients reports.
- Being able to work in a stressful environment under conditions both harsh and remote is a must.
- Mentoring and training of lower level employees.
- Maintaining close Client Liaison.
- Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
Essential Qualifications/Requirements
- University Degree in Engineering or Applied Science.
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience with in-depth knowledge of cementing, acidizing products and services.
Preferred Qualifications/Requirements
- High level knowledge about technology and proper application of tools within three or more product lines.
- Thorough understanding of down-hole hydraulics and rig operations.
- Proficient use of computer based programs related to application of products.
- Ability to supervise and lead employees.
- Ability to use skills, knowledge and techniques in problem recognition and solution development.
- Must be a self-starter and natural leader who is capable of working with little to no supervision.
- Must be comfortable working in a foreign language and cultural environment.
