Commercial Negotiator The Commercial Negotiator is responsible for providing support in all commercial negotiator, business contractual and business development aspects in both operated and non-operated properties inAlgeria. This position requires negotiation skill, social relation skill with considerable flexibility and commitment due to the wide-ranging interface with other functions, partners, government institutions and traveling requirements. Rotation: 28/28Rate: $1000 per dayLength of contract: 1 year contract (renewable) ALGERIA EXPERIENCE WOULD BE PREFERABLE
- Develop and grow business relationships between Company, Partners, and other Algerian Officials to achieve commercial objectives- Cultivate key relationships with key internal and external stakeholders- nfluence Partners to adopt company's best practices (i.e., strong/effective safety program, ZERO incidents, operational excellence, others)- Involve in negotiation for commercial matters- Become proficient in knowledge of issues facing operated or non-operated assets, and, as needed, represent the Company at management committee meetings, project management meetings, and at ad hoc meetings held with Sonatrach- Advise and represent the business in negotiations with IOC partners- Participate in strategy development seeking means to optimize the current business and identifying potential farm-in, bid-rounds, acquisitions or any other growth opportunities inAlgeria- Participate in LRP and budget development insuring budget premises are consistent with commercial obligations
Minimum requirements are as follows:
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business and/or MS or MBA- Minimum 10-15 years related experience in the oil and gas industry- Broad knowledge of upstream petroleum industry and ability to understand commercial and technical drivers involved in overseas business development and opportunity assessments- Experience in negotiation for JVs, PSC, operations, project economics, and/or interest in developing expertise in these areas- Ability to negotiate effectively with individuals at all levels of the Company, government, and other external partners- Intellectual curiosity to stay abreast of emerging issues and to understand the motivation of different parties on all sides- Results oriented and self-motivated- Good leadership, influence management, networking capabilities and advance in languages
