Parsons is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Urban Designer to join a multi-disciplinary project team for the design of a major Saudi rail transit (stations & line sections) project.

You will design railway components such as the Trackworks, Stations & Line Sections with a focus on their fit into the surrounding urban environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Managing the design process to develop a project that enhances and is compatable with its urban environment
• Delivering to the client a safe design of a major rail transit project
• Working with design organisations, both internal and external, to deliver an approved project design
• Managing the interfaces of civils design with other rail disciplines such as track and signaling
• Monitoring progress of design delivery, identify areas for improvement, and taking action to resolve outstanding issues
• Ensuring that critical dates are met on time, within agreed cost & to technical requirement
• Ensuring design risk assessments are carried out and that residual risk is transferred to the construction teams
• Working with construction teams to ensure buildability considerations are incorporated
• Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of project managers, engineers (transport & infrastrcture) and designers
• Liaising with numerous stakeholders including clients, municipalities, government bodies and work teams
• Reviewing verification and acceptance of the design outputs (calculations, drawings, specifications, reports) prior to issue for construction
• Implementing practical, timely, cost effective solutions to enable all elements of the project are safely constructed
