Job Purpose:
Primary role to manage and shoulder the responsibility of technology section in EISL Lubes department & ELOMP laboratory.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Manage EISL Technical Support Manager:
This is a direct report to ensure the incumbent has the correct level of experience to provide technical support services. This person has sufficient seniority to act alone with only limited involvement from his supervisor on day to day activities.
2. Manage ELOMP laboratory QA & QC Manager:
This is a direct report to ensure the incumbent has the correct level of experience to provide Quality assurance and lab testing services to ELOMP and external customers. Also, he is required to undertake product development work under supervision of Manager, Lubricants Technology.
3. Manager Technology direct responsibilities:
Develop wide range of product formulations (>250). Working with chemical additives companies and has an understanding of lubricant performance testing to ensure the purchase of additive packages to meet their performance requirements and are the most cost effective approach.
4. Manage Product cost and additive selection:
Investigate alternative additive product formulation proposals to ensure that technically and commercially the best options to meet ENOC brand products.
5. Obtain OEM and other technical approvals:
A high level of technical experience and knowledge is required to obtain original equipment manufacturers approval. To know how to prepare technical documentation and submit it to the correct person working within OEMs.
6. Produce product technical literature:
To be able to draw on a wide technical experience with knowledge of how to obtain source material and to write up literature in a coherent form that conveys information in an accepted “Oil Industry” format.
7. HSE issues-Product MSDS:
Has experience in the understanding of Health and safety of lubricant products as required by the lubricants industry and can produce safety data sheets for the full range of lubricants.
8. Technical support to set up overseas blending operations:
Responsible for setting up the operations providing Technical support / adopting cost effective formulations.
9. Provide Technical support to the ENOC International Lubricants business:
To render direct support and by directing the Technical support Manager to provide a full range of technical services as required by all customers.
10. Member of the EISL Management Committee:
Report on technical issues, perform any other duties assigned by direct supervisor.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Education Graduate in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Qualifications & Experience 5-10 Years in lube and additive industry, exposure to product development, technical services activities.
Computer skills MS Office suite, Power point.
Language & Writing skills Fluency in English both oral and written
Second language an advantage.
Other skills & competencies Good in communication / presentation skills, ability to take good decisions on technical related issues.
