About Your Job:
You are responsible to support the senior chef to ensure smooth operation within your section and your shift. You are required to plan the operations of the section in the shift with regards to planning of manpower and scheduling of daily operations. Together with commis chef you will ensure that all preparations are as per production plan and all meals prepared as per standard recipes and with HACCP guidelines.
You will ensure that standard recipes are being followed by the team members hence delivering meals of highest standards to the location. You will plan and supervise the operations of junior chefs to ensure smooth operations and timely production of meals per shift. Support the Sous Chef to forecast requirements of the section for upcoming cycles together with stores to ensure availability of raw materials and avoid any possible wastage due to excess stocks.You will ensure that the main dining facility production and presentation is correct and in line with demand and requirements.
About You:
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, a strong leader whilst possessing exceptional presentation skills. Ideally you will be working as a Chef de Parties with a minimum of 5 years of job related experience within a similar culture in an international airport, hotel or shopping complex with a multimillion turnover business. You will be high school qualified and a professional Cookery certification or successful completion of a major international or hotel apprenticeship.
