Accountant (Ideally Omani) - Baker Hughes

EMPLOYMENT STATUS

ABOUT THIS JOB

This is an exciting opportunity for a Degree level candidate to join the busy accounting center for Baker Hughes in Oman.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Under minimal supervision you will be responsible for performing a range of complex accounting activities.
· Maintaining the General Ledger accounts
· Developing financial statements
· Putting together various financial reports
· Using SAP
· Preparing some Statutory Audits
· Basic Tax Accounting
· Providing occasional training and guidance to more junior members of the team

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent with 3+ years’ experience or Master's Degree in Accounting / Finance with 2+ years’ experience.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Possesses and applies broad knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures. Excellent attention to detail with good analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent PC skills. Ability to handle multiple activities successfully.


OTHER DETAILS
- Statutory Audit / Tax experience is preferable
- SAP / Hyperion Experience is preferable
- CPA / ACCA / CA is preferable
- Ideally the candidate should be an Omani
