Customer Innovation Principal - SAP

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
* Leverage Design Thinking techniques to uncover new sales opportunities within an account or to provide new approaches that provide differentiation within an existing sales opportunity.
* Communicate the value of SAP products and solutions to customers in an innovation context.
* Work in an integrated fashion with VAT teams to architect solutions in a way that produces differentiating business proposals with clear value to the customer.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
* Support of key accounts and sales opportunities.
* Leverage Design Thinking techniques to uncover new sales opportunities within an account or to provide new approaches that provide differentiation within an existing sales opportunity.
* Bring a wide perspective to the VAT team supported by a broad knowledge of SAP products and services. This broad knowledge should be combined with depth in at least two specialty or practice areas.
* Develop and deliver presentations to a wide variety of customer audiences.
* Communicate the value of SAP products and solutions to customers in an innovation context.
* Work in an integrated fashion with VAT teams to architect solutions in a way that produces differentiating business proposals with clear value to the customer.
* Work within existing business development programs and frameworks (e.g. Value Engineering programs) injecting new ideas, perspectives and approaches that are based upon SAP product innovations and solutions.
* Challenge and reframe both SAP and Customer assumptions in a way that is viable from a business perspective, feasible from a technology perspective, and speaks to the human element of desirability.
* Evangelize new approaches as well as related tools and methods throughout presales particularly and more generally among the broader sales community.
* Develop reusable artifacts and assets using content realized from successful deal-based engagements.
* Conduct research into industries, trends, business models, and business issues unique to a particular customer.
* Work with Value Engineering to explore and validate from a SAP solution perspective new business models when appropriate.

* Teamwork - Work well with other members of the sales team and extended presales global community.
* Innovative thinker - Challenge the norm and help bring new ideas to their sales teams.
* Solution or Industry Expertise - Depth in at least two areas - industry or solution experience.
* Creativity - Ability to work creatively in a manner that produces measurable business results.
* Communications skills - Strong ability to lead discussions and communicate complex concepts and ideas in a simple way.
