We are the leading investment banking company based in Oman with offices and institutional associations across the MENA region. We are looking for a young, highly energetic and motivated individual to work with our recently established US trading desk. The person should demonstrate leadership qualities in developing the department in line with the company’s long term strategy. He would be individually handling the company’s brokerage operations in the US equity markets from our Muscat office. The individual must have a passion for equity markets trading and is required to work from office during the trading hours of US equity markets.
The role calls for basic knowledge of company performance and corporate fundamentals. The person should be self-motivated to bring in trading ideas to clients, convince them for converting their ideas into successful trade execution. He would be a person with fairly good knowledge of technical analysis and charting tools. We are looking for persons who are confident and knowledgeable in finding and advising profitable trades to the clients. While excellent communication skill in English language is a required qualifier, knowledge of Arabic would be an added advantage.
Experience
2 years of experience in Equity Sales Trading, preferably in the US & European stock markets - Actively trading in the global equity markets for institutional and HNI clients. The person should have demonstrated knowledge in identifying trading opportunities, equity trading advisory, idea generation, and execution of trades. Knowledge of technical analysis and charting tools is preferred. Post-trade middle office working knowledge would be a plus.
• Trading experience in global equity markets is mandatory
• Managing equity trading portfolio of institutional and HNI clients
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to articulate ideas in an impactful way, thereby successfully converting them into trade execution.
• Knowledge of Arabic language would be an added advantage.
Eligibility
• Graduate in Commerce / Finance / Mathematics / Engineering
• Should have knowledge and experience in info vendors such as Bloomberg and Reuters
• International certifications in equity trading would be a clear advantage
• Knowledge of corporate fundamentals and company performance parameters
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft office suites.

• Strong capabilities in generating investment ideas, effectively communicating them to clients and executing profitable trades.
