Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Lead Cost Engineer will provide proficient and effective administrative support to ensure the successful execution of the projects from inception to project close out. Responsibilities of this position also include:
• Prepare estimates based on drawings, specifications, sub-contractor / supplier quotes and related documents.
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Presents prepared estimates in by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Prepares cost estimate reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains / updates cost data base.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
