Reciprocating & Rotating equipment Engineer
To provide technical hands on support and advisory of all Rotating & Recprocating Equipment in accordance with Shell Standards.
Dimensions * Maintenance & technical support on all Reciprocating & rotating equipment in Shell Gabon: Rabi - Gamba - Toucan - Koula
* Shell operated production 60,000 bbls/day
* 4 operated fields i.e. Rabi, Gamba/Ivinga, Toucan and Koula
* Position in 28/28 rotation
Principal Accountabilities
* Provide expertise on reciprocating equipment and on any other types of rotating equipment to direct the Engineering and Maintenance activities to achieve the company business targets.
* Execute all the reciprocating & rotating equipment discipline maintenance for company operations to ensure:
 Site supervision of Major Maintenance activities
 Technical integrity of plant and equipment
 Cost-effective maintenance solutions
 Consistency of approach for the different operational groups
* Be the primary person to establish and follow-up scope for vendor maintenance services for reciprocating & rotating equipment assets
* Act as contract executor and company focal point for reciprocating and rotating equipment major maintenance.
* Provide technical advice and execution support to operational groups in the form of troubleshooting and problem solving of referred items.
* Provide reciprocating and rotating equipment technical advice and approval for basic design, detailed design and implementation phases of projects.
* Raise and review all Material Master Proposals for operational equipment spares within reciprocating equipment
* Create, review and update reciprocating and rotating equipment maintenance strategies, equipment maintenance reference plans and FdT.
* Ensure that performance standards of Safety Critical Elements are defined and that performance assurance activities are well managed.
* Provide the required support/input to the Integrity Activity Planning process
* Provide effective and efficient support to work preparation process
* Supervise and execute on site all the Major maintenance and trouble shooting related to Reciprocating and rotating equipment for all Shell Gabon assets: Gamba - Rabi - Toucan - Koula.
* Provide input while building Maintenance execution budget
* Provide necessary procedures to define rotating equipment discipline maintenance activities
* Analyse reciprocatintg and rotating equipment facility maintenance and operating performance, develop and progress improvement proposals to plant, systems or practices

* Site Supervision in inspections and testing of reciprocating and rotating equipment
* Site Supervision in reciprocating and rotating equipment check - out and commissioning as required.

* Remoteness of sites
Qualifications, Experience and Competence Requirements
* Degree qualified member of a recognised engineering institution, preferably with Chartered Engineer status.
* Minimum of 10 years in the upstream hydrocarbon producing industry comprising experience of mechanical maintenance and engineering.
* Very good skill in the hands on execution of Major Maintenance activities for rotating equipement with a high expertise in reciprocating equipment
* Good interpersonal, analytical and PC skills.
* Very good communication in French, English business skill will be much appreciated.
