As a Financial Controller, you will lead the Finance department and associated operations such as accounting management, reporting, and interdepartmental and suppliers relations are managed to optimize the resort profitability.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
• Managing all Resort accounting and financial requirements in an environment of tight control and in the manner prescribed by the owning company,
• Ensure the safekeeping and updating of all legal documentation relating to the financial,
• Ensure that Finance teams are providing month end closing and all other required management reports,
• Work with the General Manager to provide full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals within the resort,
• Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures and continually review the process and procedures to maximize impact and efficiency,
• Ensure the balance sheets are a fair
• Lead monthly finance update meetings with General Manager and all concerned department heads,
• Comply with Lagoon/Owning company policies and procedures, maximizing performance on the Finance Balanced performance measurement,
• Review regularly the balance sheets, ensure reconciliations are performed of all resort controlled accounts, and are fair reflection of the assets and liabilities of the resort,
• Assist resort head of the departments to improve their financial awareness and provide them with relevant financial information for their operations,
• Serve your role and team in an environmentally-conscience manner,
• Liaise and co-operate with both Internal and External audits and ensure that corrective action is taken where required,
• Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures,
• Support and advice the management team on financial and commercial matters,
• Manage the formulation, review and approval of budgeting and strategic planning within the resort, identifying value opportunities,
• Ensure a regular cycle of forecasting is taking place with content and detail appropriate to the needs of the operations,
