As a Tax Consultant, you'll make a technical contribution to tax engagements and internal projects. Within your role, you'll actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships, execute global mobility planning solutions and contribute to the client strategy. You'll assist the manager and partner/executive director in implementing the client strategy in compliance with our policies and protocols. You'll anticipate and identify risks, escalate issues as appropriate and ensure that client work is always of a high quality. As an influential member of the team, you'll help create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members to help them develop professionally.
Client responsibilities
► Actively participate in tax engagements
► Work effectively as a team member: sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress
► Assist in preparing client deliverables to implement the client service strategy
► Build relationships within the tax team and across other service lines
► Communicate issues to clients and client teams
► Understand our service offerings and identify opportunities to introduce these to the client
People responsibilities
► Transfer technical and professional knowledge to others through formal and on-the-job training
► Help team members to develop through effective delegation and supervision
► Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff
► Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training tax professionals
► Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills
► Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
