Pipeline Engineer - ASC International

Job Description

Missions
* Responsible for review of the technical documents prepared by Basic Engineering Contractor and address all construction and installation aspects during Basic Engineering taking into account the Local Content capabilities and context of the Project operations,
* Coordinate all Pipeline Engineering activities with the counterpart at the Basic Engineering Contractor team and ensure timely submission of documents and provide input to other disciplines as appropriate,
* Participate in the preparation of the technical dossier of the CFT package pertinent to the SURF work package,
* Report to Engineering/Interface Manager and subsequently to SURF Package Manager highlighting concerns and providing solutions to issues encountered during the execution of the studies,
* Follow up the execution of the EPC contract for the Pipelines during detailed engineering, procurement, construction and installation phase (detailed mission statement to be developed later for this phase).

Activities
* Review & lead of analysis of Contractor documents / Assist on technical queries
* Provide technical inputs to the CFT dossier of the SURF package
* Address & provide solution to interface issues between Pipelines and rest of the Subsea packages during BE
* Participate in weekly meetings with Contractor, Construction workshop, Risk Management, HAZID/SIMOPS workshop during BE and subsequent phases
* Address qualifications made by EPC bidders on SURF package, assisting the Contracts team on technical matters
* Internal coordination within Engineering team and Company headquarter specialists to address any issues related to Pipeline Engineering
* Assist the SURF Package Manager on EPC Phase of the project.

Observations on activities and missions
* The Pipeline Engineer will be part of the Engineering team based in Paris at Contractor or Company offices.
* Travels to Angola will be required on need basis to participate in technical meetings with Affiliate, Contractors, Partners and Authorities.
* The Pipeline Engineer will subsequently moves to the SURF package which will be based in Luanda and may require travel on need basis.

Job Requirements

Required qualifications and background
Qualification : Engineering degree or equivalent
Professional Experience (number of years) : 7 to 10
Experience within project (number of years) : 7 to 10
Experience in discipline engineers coordination (number of years) : 5
Good communication skills in English

Other observations on the specificities of the job and its environment
Good communication and negotiations with Contractors and Suppliers are required with frequent participation to technical workshops and committees.
The significantly larger Angolan Content for this project compared to industry experience brings an additional challenge to this project. The engineer to take note that all aspects of the package will take into account the involvement of Local Content.

Must be eligible to work in the EU. We do not arrange work permits.
