Description and Desired Qualifications
Job Purpose:
Halcrow (a CH2M HILL company) acquiring staff for Independent Engineer commission for a PPP airport development project in Madinah, KSA – a part of Halcrow’s role requires a team of 4 people – a Senior Resident Engineer (Manager), and three Project Coordinators: Project Coordinator (PTB); Project Coordinator (Airside Facilities); Project Coordinator (Landside Facilities and Ancillary Buildings).
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Responsibility for on-site Independent Engineer Services related to coordination of airside infrastructure facilities (design/construction) in accordance with Halcrow/CH2M Hill Management Systems.
Technical expertise in planning, design and construction supervision of airfield infrastructure.
Additional expertise in passenger terminal buildings, landside infrastructure and ancillary buildings would be advantageous.
Technical oversight of Investor’s Contractors/Consultants technical quality (planning, design and construction) and Halcrow staff that may be assigned in the course of the project, plus other specialist third-party inputs.
Good communication skills and ability to work within large or small teams.
Potential junior staff mentoring and development.
Project Management, budgeting and cost-control.
Client relationship managementKey role objective
Basic Qualifications
Key requirements
A university degree is essential which would be in civil or electrical engineering, or other recognised and relevant field.
Membership/accreditation of an appropriate professional institution is considered advantageous, but not essential.
Knowledge, understanding and ability in application of technical principles of airport infrastructure planning, design and construction Good project management and communication skills and flexibility in dealing with a multidisciplinary design team.
Strong commercial awareness and project control skills.
Ability to manage, mentor and develop staff.
Minimum 7-10 years relevant experience.
Fluency in Arabic would be an advantage but is not essential.
