About the business:
Al-Futtaim's Retail Division holds a stable of world class brands operating in buoyant markets with huge growth prospects. Some of our brands are Marks & Spencer, Toys R Us, Ace, IKEA, Guess, Esprit, Plug-Ins as well as Robinsons with a range of smaller brands selected for their appeal to the markets in which we operate. We currently operate our Retail outlets across the GCC, Levant, Egypt and in South East Asia.
Alfa Egypt Trading Co is the Al-Futtaim Retail Divisions Egypt Operating Company. We have enjoyed phenomenal success throughout Egypt. We are in the final stages of outline planning for massive growth and need to prepare for the next phase of this program in Egypt.
About the role:
We are looking to recruit an experienced person based in Egypt for Alfa Egypt Trading Co., Reporting to the Retail Finance Manager
The key responsibilities will include:
* Be interface between Division and Shared Services for Finance to ensure accounting entries are correct from tax perspective.
* Maintain a strong filling system for all documentations required to fully comply with the guidelines of company system & Egyptian tax law.
* Insure the activity is online with the Egyptian tax law & accounting standards.
* Strong participation in all types of tax audits and preparation of documents needed for tax inspection.
* Liaises with tax consultant regarding handling and setting different types of taxes to which the company exposed (corporate tax, stamp tax, sales tax) covering all brands.
* Preparation necessary MIS for Alfa Entity which give reasonable assurance of right recording and provide consistency of recording among all brands.
* Ensure the right compliance of other governmental obligation such social insurance organization, etcetera with coordination of HR shared service and public relation department.
* Support finance manager at analyze business performance / results, prepare budget, providing feedback to Senior Management.
* Follow up any amendments published regarding all kinds of taxes or changes in the law and advise different departments regarding the possibility effects and any other inquiries.
* Up to date knowledge of regulations and compliance issues.
