Responsible for the financial management of projects, putting together bids for new work and negotiating and agreeing contracts often worth billions of AED. This role is broad & includes anything from risk management to procurement, payment certificates verification, variations study/evaluation, financial reporting & managing the supply chain aiming to minimize costs without compromising quality.
A qualified Civil engineer (preferable) or quantity surveyor with minimum 15 years of experience as a commercial manager with reputed project management and/or cost consultants. He must have worked as a senior commercial manager for the last 3-5 years on sizable/major building construction and infrastructure projects in UAE.
Member of a relevant professional body, such as the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or the Institute of Commercial Management.
