Supply Chain Manager - International Company - Dubai - Competitive Basic Salary + Housing + Benefits
My client is an already well-established and fast growing international company, operating in a niche market within the Maritime space. They are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager who will have overall responsibility for the Supply Chain services within the company.
The client requires someone with a 'big picture' understanding of what Supply Chain is. Logistics or Procurement specialists within that will NOT be suitable. Given the role's significant management responsibilities (detailed below), my client needs someone who can motivate and drive a team, as well as set the direction for the whole department.This job will be part of the procurement group within the company and will be responsible for a team of approximately 12 people: 2 in purchasing; 2 who care for Assets; and a variety of Administrative staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Evaluating Suppliers and contract-related negotiations with suppliers;
- Managing all non-technical aspects of subcontractors for the provision of materials, equipment and supplies
- Preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for supplies, services and equipment
- Maintaining Supply Chain Records
- Generating and maintaining procedures related to Supply Chain records
- Managing a team of Supply Chain professionals
- Overseeing asset inventory and function
- Overseeing company ERP system.
Technical Requirements
- Experienced Supply Chain Professional
- Proven Leadership Abilities - background in Management positions
- Computer literacy must include MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- ERP System Knowledge
- Language and Communication Skills
- Strong communication
- Relevant Degree / Professional Certifications
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Travel will be required.
Industry specific experience is not crucial, but anyone with Maritime or Seismic experience would be considered strongly.
