Key responsibilities:
• Perform a broad range of hair styling services, from cutting hair to performing scalp treatments.
• Typical duties include shampooing, cutting and styling hair, though they may also provide hair treatments, including deep conditioning, permanents, hair coloring and weaving.
• Apply creativity to art or design work
• Apply health or sanitation standards and ensure that the hair section has clean rooms or work areas.
• Must be able to work with a variety of hair lengths, types and textures.
• Recognize problems of the hair or scalp and recommend appropriate treatments
• Greet clients and explain the process of the treatment / experience
• Answer client questions
• Review and update client profile forms and customise treatments to address client needs and contraindications
• Perform hair treatments following the correct methods, techniques and procedures.
• Farewell to clients, guiding them to their next area
• Following scheduled roster and daily appointment schedule
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of treatment rooms/station
• Manage levels of professional stock and supplies
• Reference and abide by the Standard Operating Procedures, Policies & Forms Manuals
• Requires great deal of direct interaction with customers, so ensure that clients feel comfortable while cutting, styling and performing hair care services.
