My client is a leading oil and gas operator currently looking for an experienced senior contract engineer to be based full time with the operator. The position is permanent, based in GCC country, expat package with salary, accommodation, family status, education allowance offered.
The position is based within contract and procurement, and you will be responsible for strategy development to awarding of high value complex and risky contracts, as well as the follow up to the engineering phases after the awarding of the contract. The aim is to achieve short and long term running of all contracts and managing all related issues, achieving profitability.
The key tasks involve:
- Independent management of sourcing, from strategy to implementation (prequalification, tendering, involvement of stake holders, tender board presentations)
- Ensure information on latest standards in documentation, procedures and guidelines are adhered to
- Develop and execute pre and post award contract management plans, KPIs, workshops
- Support development of technical and commercial evaluation models and that they are carried out accordingly
- Liase with contract holder team and stakeholders to execute any changes, variations and claims to avoid interruptions, time extension, failure to meet obligations
- Use SAP system to record contracts and other documents
- Identify areas of improvement in process
- Support and develop less experienced members
- Influence key stake holders
- Deliver improvement cost targets, value realisation
Key skills:
- Engineering / quantity surveying / operations management / economics / supply chain degree
- 10+ years of experience in EPC, well engineering or service contracts in the oil and gas sector
- Cost modeling

- Fluent English skills
