ABOUT THIS JOB
This position is responsible for acting as the champion for the development and implementation of globally applicable project management policies, processes, tools, standard procedures and organizational competency development for global Integrated Operations projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
The responsibilities of the position include industry and BHI standard planning, project status, progress monitoring, reporting and forecasting tools. This position directs the resourcing and utilization of the project management pool of talent, managing utilization and output, overseeing competency assessment and development of PMs, and performance management (with line management of PM). Additionally, this individual directs the Business Process Manager to deliver best-in-class knowledge management processes and tools, including LeanSixSigma process improvement projects, Baker Hughes Operating System, Communities of Practice, After Action Reviews, and best practice transfer methods. This individual also works with the Contract Management team in the IO Commercial group to implement best practices in contracting, assuring process standards are being followed, and supports outstanding contract management.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline with previous oil industry experience.
PMP certification from the Project Management Institute
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs and Microsoft Project software
At least 10 years’ experience as a project manager for drilling integrated services, turnkeys, multi-service contracts, etc.
At least 5 years experience leading a portfolio of drilling integrated services projects, turnkeys, multi-service contracts, etc.
Strong knowledge and understanding of operations logistic support requirements for wellsite operations
Good general understanding of the upstream business environment (geology, data acquisition, well test, contracts, HSE)
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing project management methods and tools across multiple projects
Proven experience in managing a pool of talent in supporting various roles
Proven Profit & Loss responsibility for projects in excess of $250MM
Deep understanding of Project Management methods, including Initiating, Planning/Scheduling, Controlling,
Reporting, and Risk management
Proven track record implementing Knowledge Management processes and tools, including AAR, best practice transfer, and lessons learned processes
Process improvement skills, including process mapping, value stream analysis, and DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve Control) understanding
International working experience
Ability to solve substantially difficult problems of a complex nature and broad scope
