PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP's global Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) organization in the Board Area Finance & Administration consolidates the policies, processes, communication, reporting, and organizational structures of all GRC-related activities. The integrated GRC function focuses on increasing the added business value of governance, risk, security and compliance processes at SAP through the utilization of the synergies and high-quality business services, without compromising on transparency and compliance.
We are looking for a strong leader with proven excellent leadership capabilities to develop and execute a risk-based Security strategy that is derived from the overall company’s strategy, protects SAP’s most important assets and is aligned with the Executive Board. In this regard, he/she regularly reports the status and progress to Executive Board members and the management. As Corporate Security Officer of the SAP group he/she is responsible for the continuous enhancement and communication of the Security policy in line with regulatory requirements and the monitoring of the compliance with the policy and standards. He/she cooperates closely with other operational security functions (e.g. for physical security) and contacts within SAP in order to develop appropriate standards and to implement them accordingly. In this regards he/she is responsible to establish an effective internal governance structure and to facilitate security governance meetings & panels. The candidate is expected to implement flexible and business-oriented security processes, dictated to the needs of a rapidly evolving heterogeneous business environment and to monitor the successful execution of all strategic Corporate Security projects. Furthermore, he/she increases the effectiveness of the global security measures through global awareness and training programs and the establishment of effective global business continuity plans as well as global Crisis Management teams. He/she is expected to represents SAP internally and externally on Information Security related topics.
In this role the Corporate Security Officer is part of the internal group of “executive managers” (Leitende Angestellte).
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
* Develop and implement
a risk-based security strategy and a world-class security program
* Responsible to facilitate the Corporate Security Steering Committee chaired by Executive Board members and related Corporate Security Governance panel members
* Continuously maintain an effective security policy and related standards in line with the Security strategy and regulatory and business requirements
* Monitor the successful execution of agreed action items to ensure security policy compliance by coordinating with other operational security functions and contacts within SAP
* Formulate plans and establish procedures for global security tasks and processes in order to execute along the security strategy
* Maintain an effective corporate security
awareness and training program
* Implement effective Crisis Management and Business Continuity programs throughout the company
* Establish an effective Security incident management process throughout the company
* Support the security vendor selection process to ensure adequate 3rd party security services
* Ensure that Defense Secrecy requirements are met
* Lead and manage a team of experienced Security experts and ensure financial management and control of the Global GRC Security budget
* Maintain regular contacts with external security professionals and organizations sharing relevant information and creating effective benchmarking
WORK EXPERIENCE
* 15 years business experience and thereof 7 - 10 in leadership positions.
