ABOUT THIS JOB
Candidate must be willing to live in Saudi Arabia on a full time basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Work under general supervision of FOM/Operations coordinator
•Illustrates basic understanding of mud properties and additives to improve performance as per application ( ex: balling, hi TQ).
•Illustrates basic understanding of bit failure mechanisms.
•Illustrates basic understanding of Torque and Drag analysis reports.
•Independently evaluates operating parameters and recommends possible changes to improve performance.
•Use Baker Hughes Bit Benchmark Analyzer tool to gather offset data and create basic analysis of expected penetration rate.
•Thorough understanding of directional drilling (STR MTR + rotary steerable systems) and well profiles and its affect on bit performance.
•In-depth knowledge of local application and lithology and the ability to communicate concerns and plan ahead with customers at rig site.
•In-depth knowledge of BHA and the ability to recommend the right assemblies as per application needs.
•Ability to identify drilling inefficiencies ( hole cleaning, high torque, buckling, weight below jar, BHA, stalling, whirling, MSE, etc…) that affect bit performance and durability.
•Ability to evaluate and analyze bit and cutter wear to answer customer concerns and needs.
•Illustrates the ability to use HCC hydraulic software and understand output.
•Handles special projects, as assigned.
•In-depth knowledge of cutting analysis and mud log.
•Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core values.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
1.High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of operations or service experience with drilling rigs or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with 1+ years of bit technology experience.
2.Thorough understanding of the technical specs. of rig activities and processes.
3.English Language is a MUST. Candidate must be capable of speaking and writing English Fluently.
4.Advanced Computer knowledge and skills ( Microsoft Office tools)
