PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Solution Expert or Local Product Expert (LPE) is responsible for enabling the partner channel through coaching, classroom training, assisted implementation and other forms of knowledge transfer. In addition the LPE will be involved in the ramp-up and rollout of new versions to the partner channel and will assist and support the partner during the implementation process. The position will require travel (up to 30%) to assist the partners onsite. The LPE will be also involved in pre-sales activities and assist in the joint development of solutions together with our partners.
Additionally, the LPE will assist with Customer Relations activities dealing directly with B1 end users.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Enablement
* Primary SAP Business One contact for the partners in the development and education of the partner channel. This includes providing continuous education on product functionality and supporting infrastructure. Take responsibility for continuous review and improvement of programs, classroom training and documentation as well as best practices guidelines for successful implementations for the channel
* Manage partner base, monitoring the partner’s product authorization status, push partners to follow support procedures, work with partners in logging messages to improve their knowledge and operation.
Sales Support
* Participate in sales and pre-sale activities and the development of vertical solutions and workarounds. Acts as a sales advisory services for the Channel Manager and partners
* Participate in SAP or partners event in an effort to promote SAP Business One
* Support SAP Business One partners in more complex or larger sales cycles upon request.
Escalations and Issue Management
* Manage product issues and customer-facing issues and coordinate with partner and other resources as needed to address customer concerns. Such activities may include: escalations (partner, product, add-on, etc.), transitioning customers to other partners, assisting partners with customer related issues
* Leverage technical support, critical solution desk, his/her management structure and other support functions within the global delivery team to resolve escalations
Product Management
* Participate in specification, localization, acceptance testing and validation during the rollout of new releases
* Participate in the management Ramp-Up program locally, find and convince partners and customers to participating. Stay in contact with partners and customers during RU for status update and feedback. Provide extra support to partners and customers during Ramp-Up. Align with global Ramp-Up team and provide information about local progress of projects.
* Identify legal and functional needs of the local market, describe these and roll them in to SAP Business One. Update partners on status; develop short term work around, etc
* Involved in the translation and localization of the training and product materials
* Manage partner base, monitoring the partner’s product authorization status, push partners to follow support procedures, work with partners in logging messages to improve their knowledge and operation.
WORK EXPERIENCE
* More than 5 years working experience with relevant working experience in the software ERP business.
* More than 3 years’ experience in software consulting and pre-sales consultant.
* Experience with SAP Business One in the form of consulting and/or would be advantageous.
