Customer Training Specialist
Boeing is seeking native English-speaking English Language Instructors to Teach English as a Foreign Language for the Saudi Aviation Maintenance Institute (SAMI) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. SAMI is a Not-for-profit Institute designed to provide young Saudi students with one year of Aviation English Language (AEL) training and two years of general Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) training. The one year AEL training starts with Basic English Language and progresses into Aviation Technical terms and concepts. The AEL Instructors will be Boeing International Support Systems (BISS) employees. BISS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing. The AEL Instructors will be responsible for utilizing the curriculum and resources available and will be responsible for the high quality delivery of the Aviation English language program, fostering a learning environment that guides and encourages students, and development of students General and Technical English proficiency to established benchmark levels. The AEL Instructors will be responsible for the success of the AEL program.
Description
• The AEL Instructors will also: Instruct, monitor and guide students in the use of CALL materials and equipment
• Utilising the curriculum and resources provided, plan, prepare and deliver classroom based learning activities that facilitate relevant English language practice and proficiency gains
• Ensure integration of CALL and classroom sessions
• Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment for all students - Provide appropriate feedback to all students
• Maintain accurate, complete and regular records and reports on students' attendance, performance and development
• Manage student behaviour by following and applying established rules and procedures - Participate in department meetings
• The AEL Instructor candidates must develop and maintain a close working relationship and partnership with the customer, stakeholders, AMT Training Program and peers
• The candidates must work in a very diverse environment with strong Middle East culture and customs

• This job may be level 4 or level 5 and will determined by the level of experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, in relation to the scope and responsibility of the position
Your profile
You should be able to demonstrate the following competencies
• Ability to effectively teach English as a foreign language in a non-US culture and environment
• Ability to foster a supporting and encouraging learning environment and manage the classroom while considering cultural differences
• Ability to seek continuous improvement to enhance the performance of the Institute
• Ability to work within a teaching team to achieve the goals of the Institute
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
Do you have Computer Assisted Language Learning experience?
Do you have a certification in English Language Teaching to Adults, Delta in English Language, Training (ELT), or Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)?
Do you have at least 3 years of teaching English as a Foreign Language with at least 1 year in a foreign country?
Is English your native language?
Typical Education/Experience:
The AEL Instructor must have at least a Bachelors Degree from a recognised institution in any relevant subject with a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), Delta in English Language Training (ELT), or Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). A Masters Degree in TEFL or Applied Linguistics (not distance-based) from a recognised instit
