We are currently looking for young talents, enthusiastic aspirants who have passion for hospitality. Reports for duty, punctually, wearing the correct uniform. Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled. Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service. Ensures freshness and suitability of products used by the section and that they are stored properly. Ensure all food items for the restaurant are prepared on time and meet quality and quantity standards. Maintains minimum waste and ensures portion control is followed. Participates in buffet set up and decoration. Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests. Assists during meal periods that buffet tables and a la carte mis en place is kept replenished and attractive for the duration of service. Comply with all HACCP requirements and procedures as per Somewhere Hotels standards. Ensure necessary paperwork, administration, controls and records are undertaken and maintained as directed by the Executive Chef to include Health & Safety, Food Safety and any other as requested. Ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained by following cleaning routines and through ongoing diligence during the shift and in set up and clean down procedures. Reports any equipment on the section which needs repair or maintenance. Communicates to the Demi Chef any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
